Washington Biodiversity Council
Created by Governor Gary Locke in 2004, the Washington Biodiversity Council develops and promotes more effective ways of conserving Washington's biodiversity.

2005 Natural Heritage Plan
The Washington Department of Natural Resources is required by law to prepare a Natural Heritage Plan, and to update it every two years.

Washington Comprehensive Wildlife Strategy
The Washington Department of Fish & Wildlife has developed a Comprehensive Wildlife Conservation Strategy to create a new management framework for the protection of Washington’s species and habitats in need of conservation.

Washington Wildlife and Recreation Coalition
Through the foundation of the Washington Wildlife and Recreation Program (WWRP), the Coalition has helped fund a multitude of projects across the state of Washington.

Puget Sound Partnership
In December of 2005, Governor Chris Gregoire initiated the Puget Sound Partnership, a public/private group charged with developing an aggressive 15-year plan to solve Puget Sound’s most complex problems.
